Description
Over 50% of the amino acid composition of the brain is derived from Glutamic Acid and its derivatives providing fuel for the brain. Glutamic Acid acts as carrier for Potassium across the brain blood barrier. Glutamic Acid is instrumental in the metabolism of other amino acids as well as sugars and fats. Glutamic Acid also shows promise in the feature treatment of neurological conditions, ulcers, hypoglycemic coma, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, Parkinson's, and mental retardation.
Jo Mar's L-Glutamic Acid is 100% pure U.S.P. grade crystalline free form. The powder is water soluble, has a sweet-sour taste and weighs about 3.9 grams per level measuring teaspoon. Capsules may contain less than 1% magnesium stearate, an inert ingredient used in the encapsulation process.
