Formula H/7
Description
The metabolic pathway from ammonia to urea is called the "urea cycle" or "Ornithine cycle". Enzymes taking part in this cycle are located in the liver, and detoxification of ammonia is one of the vital functions of the liver. L-Arginine, L-Ornithine, and L-Citrulline are members of the urea cycle. L-Ornithine and L-Citrulline are found only in the liver but not in other organs. Furthermore, they are not constituents of natural proteins.
Jo Mar Lab's Formula H-7 for liver disorders contains the free form Amino Acids L-Arginine, L-Ornithine, and L-Citrulline. Four additional free form Amino Acids (L-Serine, L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine) act in conjunction with the other three. Formula H-7 has a bitter-bland taste and is probably best taken in its capsule form.
PROTOCOL:
Acute Phase: 4 to 8 capsules (1 1/2 to 2 1/2 grams) Formula H-7 Daily.
Less Serious: 2 to 4 capsules (1 to 2 grams) Formula H-7 Daily.
In Addition: 1 to 4 teaspoons Buffered Vitamin C distributed throughout the day. 50 mg to 150 mg vitamin B6 Daily.
