For over a year, we have been working on an amino acid formula that will help replace the amino's that are depleted when alcohol is consumed. This is the formula we have developed and it works great. It's also simple to use. Take 2 caps before consuming alcohol and 2 caps before going to bed.

This formula is not designed as a cure for alcoholism: it only serves to protect the heavy drinker from some of the toxicity of alcohol. There is, however, a hefty amount of L-Glutamine in each capsule which has long been known to decrease "cravings". The L-Glutamine also serves to stimulate the regeneration of the liver and also protects the digestive tract. L-Cysteine is present to not only protect the liver and brain, but to prevent the hangover the next day. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine also serves to prevent ethanol-induced damage to the deeper layers of the gastric mucosa. We have added both forms of Carnitine (L-Carnitine and Acetyl L-Carnitine) to protect the brain, heart and improve the liver's utilization and metabolism of fatty acids. L-Citrulline is included to facilitate the removal of ammonia and other toxins in the urea cycle. Taurine may reduce the toxicity of alcohol, according to a recent study, by activating the Aldehyde Dehydrognease enzyme that accelerates the clearance of toxins from the body. Taurine may also inhibit the rise in plasma Acetaldehyde levels that normally result from alcohol consumption. Lastly, there's L-Asparagine in the formula. We added this on the advice of our good friend and amino guru, Dr. Bruce Mac Farland. It's there to provide energy.
