Description
L-Arginine (C6 H14 N4 O2) is an essential amino acid for human development. It can be synthesized in adults from L-Citrulline. L-Arginine is a precursor of L-Ornithine and plays a major part in the Urea cycle. There is a wide variation in dosage suggestions for Arginine. Anywhere from 200 milligrams to 20 grams a day have been used in therapy. People with a history of schizophrenia or herpes simplex virus should not take Arginine.
Jo Mar's L-Arginine Base is 100% pure U.S.P. grade free form. Capsules may contain less than 1% magnesium stearate, an inert ingredient used in the encapsulation process. The taste is on the bad side, so capsules are suggested when possible. The weight of L-Arginine powder is about 3.3 grams per level measuring teaspoon. The powder is water soluble.
