Description
5-HTP is an intermediate metabolite in the conversion of the amino acid L-Tryptophan to Serotonin, an important neurotransmitter. This pure compound is derived from the seeds of the plant Grafonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP is said to be about ten times more effective than L-Tryptophan, so 100 milligrams is considered equivalent to 1000 milligrams of L-Tryptophan.
We have mixed the 5-HTP with pure rice powder (flour) in order to obtain capsules containing 100 milligrams of 5-HTP. BECAUSE OF ITS POTENCY, WE WILL ONLY SELL THE PURE POWDER TO COMPOUNDING PHARMACIES.
