Description
GABA, or Gamma Aminobutryic Acid, functions as an inhibitory neurotransmitter for the central nervous system. GABA has been used for depressed sex drive. When combined with Niacinamide or Inositol it is used as an effective relaxant without the side effects of tranquilizers. GABA may also be effective in treating PMS in women. Dosage has not been established, but it is interesting to note that some research suggests that the supplement Kava (Kava is a herbal root used as a supplement) causes more GABA receptors to form in the brain.
Jo Mar's GABA is 100% pure U.S.P. grade crystalline free form. The powder is water soluble, has a bland taste and weighs about 2.2 grams per level measuring teaspoon. Capsules may contain less than 1% magnesium stearate, an inert ingredient used in the encapsulation process.
