Alpha Keto Glutaric Acid
Description
Alpha Keto Glutaric Acid (C5 H6 O5) plays an important role in amino acid metabolism. It is the precursor of Glutamic Acid, which contributes to brain energy supply. Alpha Keto Glutaric Acid is sometimes compounded with L-Ornithine to form L-Ornithine Alpha Keto Glutarate (C10 H18 N2 O7). According to Chaitow, the therapeutic dose for Alpha Keto Glutaric Acid is between 500 and 2500 milligrams daily.
